Phase 2 Day 29 VLCD

Weigh-in = 137.4lbs (-1lb!)

Finally! Apple day paid off! Down a pound this morning – I didn’t sleep well, probably because I was hungry – and woke up with a headache, so either my neck was positioned badly or I was clenching my jaw while sleeping. I woke up at 1:30am and again a bit later from a noise I thought I heard in the house, so I am tired this morning. But it all paid off with that weight loss.

It’s measurements day! (Inches difference shown in brackets is from measurements last week, not from the start of the program): Continue reading

Phase 2 Day 28 VLCD

Weigh-in = 138.4lbs (-0.2lbs)

That’s it – apple day! I essentially have not budged more than 0.2lb (which is on a digital scale and I don’t trust its variances, to me it could have been 138.2 or 138.6, who knows) for a week now. So apple day it is. Continue reading

Phase 2 Day 27 VLCD

Weigh-in = 138.6lbs (+0.4lbs)

Back up again – the 138lb yo-yo continues. It’s not like it’s even fixed at these ounces – I weigh myself a good 3-4 times each morning and the scale varies in that time. I record the lowest weight. It never varies more than 0.2-0.6lb but it still does. So really there’s a chance that on the whole, my weight hasn’t changed since Tuesday. I am contemplating an apple day but will give myself until tomorrow – if it’s the same tomorrow then I will do an apple day. Continue reading

Phase 2 Day 25 VLCD

Weigh-in = 138.6lbs (-0.2lb)

Measurements moving a little today even though the scale only budged slightly. I wore a dress with a cinched waist to work today and had my first comments on how slim I looked! Most will be wary of saying anything given that I wasn’t large before and they don’t want to offend me, but a couple of them know what I’m doing and even so – this wasn’t one of them that said something! So I was privately thrilled. Certainly I’m starting to experience the joy of ‘shopping’ in my old closet for clothes :). Continue reading

Phase 2 Day 24 VLCD

Weigh-in = 138.8lbs (=)

Same weight as yesterday, so need to keep on keeping on. Work had me very overwhelmed today so for the first time this plan I had a fleeting craving – it was easy to overcome as it was very brief, but I was at someone’s desk and saw some cheesy nachos (which is not something I would ever have craved before HCG!) and felt so tempted to dig in and just take a chip but it was a total stress urge. The good thing about HCG being so strict versus other diets is that perhaps on another you would have had a chip – the calories would have been small enough to make room for in your daily calorie count so what harm is done, right? But by completely nixing these whole groups of food and flavours you’re actually cleansing your tastebuds – eating one chip would have you wanting more all day long, whereas me resisting it for a split second meant I didn’t think about it after that (well, until now, writing about it! haha). So I’m finding there are many benefits to HCG beyond just the physical. Continue reading

Phase 2 Day 23 VLCD

Weigh-in = 138.8lb (+0.6lbs)

As expected, I weighed a bit more today than yesterday. I expected this because I lost a whole pound yesterday and my weight has fluctuated too much lately for this to continue on a downward trend. These last 10 pounds sure are going to fight to come off! I didn’t let this affect my mood too much because I was expecting it, but I think what I will do is, the next time I lose some weight I will then not weigh myself for another day – taking those in-between days off from weighing myself (knowing they’re likely to be a stall or a gain) will help keep my head in the game, I think. And because I’m back at work and busy, the food is just easier to eat because I have so much else going on that I don’t mind that my diet is pretty boring. Continue reading
